1 qt. at 2500 miles (or even double that) isn’t going to hurt your Catalyst. Most manufacturers tput that up to 1 quart every 1,000 miles is normal and acceptable. If you are getting a P0420, 99% chance you need a converter. If you use aftermarket, you’ll be lucky to get 6 months, if it works st all.
