For those who are buying and new to this group, this is the worst tactic. It totally sets you up to get fcked, besides the car seller not being able to take any offer from you seriously.

I’ve known others who’ll purposely agree to a lower price, have them come all the way out, especially if out of state, and then sell it to someone local right before they arrive stating they were offered more and then went ghost.

Buyers save yourself the headaches. Just pay list price or don’t offer, or buy local instead of far. If anything negotiate in person, never sight unseen.
