Bad luck here. My 2006 Honda Odyssey transmission went out. So I bought a 2005 Honda CRV two months ago and some solenoid went out, and the catalytic converter went out. I’m down to only $3,000 so that’s what I have to spend for another car.
WymanThe odyssey or CRV are both better. I just got a 2004 CRV for my daughter, it needs an AC system, and some grimy filth stole the catalytic converter off of it. And either the vtec solenoid is stuck, the cam gear is stuck, or there is debris I knocked loose in the vtec pins.
Probably when I was running it wide open for several miles straight. It’s still a better vehicle than I could find for under $3k.
It has 150k. Now I’m a reformed mechanic, so total repairs will be under $500 for me.
But I would never consider paying for a caravan or town and country. They are the same vehicle. And probably the worst minivan, although a windstar and venture are probably as bad. The caravan often had the best features.
JaimeThey are the same with different trim levels and options. The T&C is the higher trim line. Possibly different engines based on build levels.
I would suggest fixing the Honda over a possible basket case Dodge/Chrysler that is known for trans issues.

El BrujoSo your option is to buy another shitbox? No wonder you’re in the predicament. Just fix one of the Hondas LMAO.
DavidThe Dodge and T&C are basicly the same vehicle there are differant engines that were used in both, mostly trim is differant. So would need to know what issues my be lurking, suggest you have a machanic look them over before you decide.
