Found this loose connector today, not sure where it goes I have been looking everywhere doesn’t seem to go into the headlights, and it doesn’t have fog lights, it’s a 2017 Nissan Sentra.
SeanIt probably is for fog lights, then. Most vehicles will use the same harness for all trim levels and option packages to simplify production.
CopacabanaIt’s a light connector.
Likely for fog lights. Fog lights are an accessory option, to save money, manufacturers use one single harness with connectors for all possible accessories.
They tape off the ones that aren’t needed, and all the rest go in their home.
If you find a loose connector like that and the lock tab isn’t damaged, it’s likely for an accessory you don’t have.
JohnnyFog option. Or being yellow may be some not used airbag sensor or diag connection.
EwanTrace the wire mate but as the other comments said… some manufactures leave additional plugs for optional extras or other reason is they use the same wiring loom across various models.
DavidIt’s literally for the fog lights a lot of cars are prewired and u just have to add the switches relays and lights.
PerryYeah, definitely fog lights. That’s why it’s taped up from the factory.
AndreThere is another one on the other side. Those are wires for fog lights. If you wanted to add them on, Nissan sells an accessory kit that gives you the lamps, relay, and a switch.
BrendonNot used.
