Hi guys, I wondered if you had any recommendations for a good scan tool under $300.

I’d really like one that can show me live data on misfires and can show what cylinder is missing even when there is no check engine light triggered, but IDK if you can get one that will do that for that price.

Foxwell Pro. Clunky interface but extremely functional for the price.

Topdon Topscan. Links to your phone. Most of the data I look at on my 5k autel is there, along with bi directional functions. The interface is a bit clunky and slow, but for under $100 you can’t go wrong.

I keep one in my travel backpack. Associated link below.

TOPDON has one that uses your phone and Bluetooth dongle. It works pretty good for the price.

Some of your standard ELM327 Bluetooth scanners will show that. Usually it’s the vehicle that has to support it.

Plus if you’re getting misfires you’ll trigger a p30x code and tell you what Cylinder it is, considering 01 a cylinder 1 down to cylinder 8 would be 08.
