Is this a DIY non-mechanic forum? I looked at your description and I can’t tell. 11 Toyota Camry LE 2.5 L Anyway my car is stalling shutting off when I’m driving. Scan said it might be the mass air flow sensor. Any good cleaning it up with a spray?

What the code may be trying to say is the problem is with the mass air reading.

Possible causes could even be the cat plugging.

MAF sensors on Amazon is 20 bucks, I would just buy and replace it.

Fix any intake air leaks first. Inspect rubber boot and PCV hoses. Normally if it’s dirty it’ll be something fairly obvious like a small piece of trash from air filter.

If your car stalls, and it has a mass airflow center code, it could be because there’s no air going past the mass airflow sensor after stalled. You’re correct, not just replacing it. Unplugged the mass sensor and see if it corrects your problem. It may not run as good or get as good gas mileage, but the computer will put in a default reading.

There is a special cleaner for them, I don’t know what’s different from that and throttle body cleaner, but I’ve heard to use the correct cleaner on those.

The last ASE certified mechanic i took a car in for a free brake check couldn’t get my lug nuts off of the wheels I just changed the brakes on. I got them off no problem.

The brake issue was glazing on one of the rotors. He said I did an excellent job with the brakes, tho. He put it on a lift but didn’t take the tires off.

Anyway I fixed the issue. Ase certifided is just something you pay for. It’s like my wood tech degree. Learned more hands on..it’s just a title.

It can be cleaned with a MAF sensor spray only and just the spray. If it is touched by anything besides the MAF spray, it is done.

Have you pulled the codes or checked any of the live stream data? Also, could be as simple as plugs and coils.
