I have three of these P0741 Codes On a 2013 Dodge Charger SE 3.6 Anybody with past experiences with this code? Transmission doesn’t slip or jerk and shifts good, what could it be?
MikeThe only possible things it can be are a TCC control solenoid which is the best case, it can also be the mechanical valve in the valve body stuck that controls the lock-up, or the clutch inside the torque converter has failed.
The torque converter is the most common repair for this in my experience.
Assuming it’s the torque converter, it will eventually lead to transmission failure completely.
You can flush the fluid to buy yourself sometime, but once the lockup in the converter starts releasing metal into the transmission, it’s done.
MichaelTake it to a trans shop, or you will be buying a new transmission.
RonMake sure your transmission harness is fully pushed in and locked, and make sure there’s no water in the plug. My 2013 sport ram used to throw this codes, found my lock clip broken on one side, fixed it, no more codes.
