Ever had your Honda Accord Estate 2.2 suddenly go into turtle mode—VSA light pops on, and it won’t push past 20mph? Yeah, it’s a total vibe killer. Anyone run into this before and figured out what’s going on? Could be sensors, throttle body, or something else weird. Throwing out the bat signal here—any insights or quick fixes before I dive into a full-on garage visit? Appreciate any wisdom from fellow Accord warriors who’ve been there!
HarveyFirst step is check for codes, scan tool.
Kind of point in right direction.
Goes slow because computer has put into limp mode.LanceThere has to be codes stored to go into limp mode! Scan and get back to us! My thoughts are that oil pressure is probably low.
MonchieLimp mode it probably the throttle body sensor or electric gas pedal.
NickCould be a number of things. Clogged cat, bad torque converter or mechanical damage to the trans, could be failing fuel pump or clogged fuel line, could be a bad ECM. Is the check engine light on?
JordanCould be your torque converter. The stator could be freewheeling. You could do a stall test to check it out.
ArronMy advice is….
Scan it, get the code, Search/Google said code, and you might have a clue.
My Guess is, being a Diesel, it will most likely have a VNT, and it will be this causing it going into limp mode.
I imagaine you’ll get a code…over or underboost…probably over.
And it will be the veins inside the turbo, being stuck…or the actuator.
But without a code. I am guessing.
