I just bought my daughter a 2008 Nissan Versa with 26000 miles on it. I got it on the cheap from the elderly couple who purchased it new. It drives like new. I’m assuming it has a CVT trans, and I have heard they don’t hold up. Nissan has no fluid change interval I can find, so any maintenance suggestions to make it last longer would be greatly appreciated.
BesticanaffordWell, it can be difficult to change the fluid in the CVT on the Nissayota Yersa. Check the Mitsubonda Accordalon manual for a similar procedure.
Michael30k miles.
Nissan says 50k-60k, but the fluid is already very ran through at that point.
BrandonI just never understand how people don’t know the name of a vehicle they bought.
Copacabana30k is the maintenance interval from the transmission manufacturer. It doesn’t matter what Nissan says, Jatco (the company that makes the transmission) says 30k miles.
MattDo NOT mess with the trans fluid if it’s never been changed.
RonI’ve read if you want to live – every 30 thousand, drain n fill.
RandyChange it now. 30k KMS is my recommendation to customers. Remember to change the cartridge filter. The one in the pan is just a. Screen and doesn’t need to be changed. Still low KMS and probably no abused, so you can do a drain and fill with the cartridge filter, and you are good. It’s under an aluminum plate on the side.
