Help! Crank: no start crankshaft position sensor relearn?

I have a 2012 Altima coupe with the 2.5L motor I have put 3,000 miles on it. Currently there are 86,000 miles on the car.

Recently it has an issue where it starts only when it wants to, with a long crank.

I have replaced the fuel pump

      The spark plugs

      The battery

      The crankshaft sensor

      The battery terminals

I have unplugged my Maf and plugged it back in

Now, I can’t seem to get the car to turn over at all

      It just cranks

I’ve talked to some mechanics and they said a relearn for the cam shaft position sensor is required on the 2012 Altima with the 2.5

I went out and bought an Icon T7 professional scan tool and I have no luck

Does any one have experience changing crankshaft sensors in 2012 Nissan Altima’s?

How am I supposed to perform a relearn if the car cranks but doesn’t start?

      Is the crankshaft sensor defective?

I have replaced the crankshaft sensor twice

      (One duralast) and (1 import)

I have also changed the camshaft sensor

      I cleared the codes

Finally get the car to start and it stalls out 10 miles from my house

      Code

      Po335

      Could this be a relearn?

I talked to a mechanic and he said it is but I don’t know where I can get a scan tool that can perform a cpk relearn

I have owned 3 Nissan altimas and I am running out of options. This is truly puzzling

Please help me in this matter.

I’m fairly competent at amateur mechanic work, but this is my wifes car. Frankly, this is stumping me and it’s a little embarrassing.

      Any all help

Thank you for all of your wisdom in this matter.

Any sensor that is vital to the proper operation of the engine needs to be OEM. Using an aftermarket CKP sensor will likely leave you with more problems than you had to begin with.

You need to look at live data on the crank sensor, since it’s a circuit code. You can perform a “wiggle test” while watching the data, if wiggle test isn’t in the diagnostic features. You can use a meter to test the power at the connector, too.

Got to be the most expensive guess in history. 😀

Look at scan data. What is the rpm while cranking?

These Nissan crank and camshaft sensors need to be OEM. Verify wiring between the sensor and the PCM.

Also check the connector, make sure it’s making good contact and not corroded or damaged.

If no problems are found, get a new sensor from a local dealership parts department.
