Never spend 10k on a car with over 100k miles.

My bf bought a 2001 s2000 under 50k miles for $7000, it has lasted him over 8 years.

Why do people say KIA sucks? The one I got has the best reliability rating out of its class and is rated above average. I did my research before getting one and couldn’t find anything to support the one I got being an unreliable car.

No Kia or Hyundai with a GDI is worth the hassle — Sorento, Sportage, Santa Fe, Tuscon.
The V6 is better than the 4cyl, but not enough to count.

At 125k miles, you’re looking at some serious engine issues very soon. The Edge you had found is 10x better than this.

Try to find a Rav4 maybe.

I wouldn’t recommend any Kia/Hyundai to anyone for any reason unless the vehicle is extremely inexpensive and has a great warranty. They just have some many issues.

Is CARFAX clean? Says interior is but at that price for that age and miles makes me think it’s rebuilt. If title is not clean I would run. That’s the case for any car.

I can say for my experience that back in August we had bought a 2020 Hyundai Venue got about a hr out of town had to call my sister since she works at a dealership our transmission went out.

The car only had 40k miles on it.

My sister picked us up had to get a rental at no cost to us plus they had got a tow truck to come get my car got a new transmission.

Didn’t have to pay anything extra.

One thing made sure you do a test drive.

No. Run away from anything Kia/Hyundai. Unless you like doing engine replacements, then go for it.

Those cars suck! Hyundai and Kia are made by the same company. Get something reliable! Toyota or Honda.
