Alright guys, I need help. I bought this truck and I’m 1700 in. I use it for my junk removal and hauling company but have gotten offers for 3500-4000. Should I keep and use it for my company, or sell and get something else?
PhilipIf it makes you money, then it’s a no-brainer. Keep it as a recurring revenue stream.
JohnTo be honest, if you plan on progressing with your junk removal business, then you’ll need to work towards a 2500/250 or better eventually. If you have other money to play with, I’d let it go for the 4k now and find a bigger truck to work with.
DylanSell it and buy new? That’s an easy 2k profit and can buy a good running driving truck under 2k all day.
KilleenKeep using it and look for a replacement in the meantime.
GregIf it works for you, keep it. Nothing like something that’s paid for, unless you are under it more than you are in it.
JakeIf the money from the junk removal is worth it, fuck car flipping. I’d save up do a diesel, then sell the ram and buy a dump trailer with the ram money.
JakeI had one of them before. I’d love to have one again. I got a 2020 ram now. But I miss the single cab like that. I had the same stance too. Keep it.
LandoKeep it get another truck first then sell it think u sell it and don’t have a truck and your missing out on money so. Now you have to scrabble around to find a truck, rush purchases don’t always have the best outcome.
DanKeep it. Selling it outright, you’re making 2 grand. But then you gotta find another truck for the business. I’d only sell it if you were planning to use that money to buy a nicer truck or trailer/piece of equipment. Otherwise, if it’s making you money now, there’s no point to sell it.
JamesKinda on a similar boat bought my s10 for $300 invested another 2-300 on it and got the rest of a parts truck that I got off a customer and have had a 4k offer and a 4,5k offer and I don’t if to let it go or keep it definitely planning on making side money with it.
GeeRinse and repeat. The goal here, my brother in flipping is to find a way to repeat the same financial success on every flip. So, I would say your best bet would be to let that truck go and get 2 trucks to flip. Sell those and buy 4. Then sell those and keep one and buy 7. IDK how much space you have, but in the car sales world 8 vehicles is not much at all.
AndeWhat’s the mileage at? If you’re over 175k, let her go and start with something lower to raise them slowly up again and repeat as you go, keeping the mechanic shop out of view while you go.
