I’m working on a Ford Ranger truck 2002 for a neighbor, it’s having clutch issues won’t shift correctly, and it stalls, what part do I need to replace?
RobertSo I ran into something like this I put a clutch pressure plate through a bearing, and then when you want to take off, you would have to grind gears so the way it was finally figured out. He’s having an assistant pump the pedal watch the clutch fork if it bleeds off when holding down the pedal, more than likely, either gonna be the clutch master or the clutch slave cylinder in my case, it was the clutch master.
WesleyThe best way to bleed that clutch is with a Phoenix injector, pushing the fluid from the slave cylinder into the master cylinder. The problem is the angle of the master cylinder.
DaveBest to get someone with experience to check that out.
A few possibilities there,
Air in system
May require new master or slave cyl
Spigot bearing seized
Rust on splines for friction plate
Clutch fork issue
Work out cheaper to get right diag 1st timeJamesThe defective one is a good place to start.
LanceWhat problem is it having? Be precise! Like when you press the pedal, what do you feel?
LouisJUST LOAD UP THAT PARTS CANNON AND KEEP FIRING, THEN WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF MONEY, TAKE IT IN FOR DIAGNOSIS AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COST OF DIAGNOSIS’
