2020 Toyota RAV4 – 90K miles.
Haven’t had funds to do any real maintenance since about 40K miles, except for oil, oil filters, cabin filters…
Planning on using tax return money to do some good maintenance… what can you recommend?
Currently, states “engine maintenance required”
MistahBasic stuff. Mainly, keep doing what you’re doing n save your money for when it’s coolant and trans fluid time or tires. If you wanna add some protection, maybe get some seat covers or tint your windows to protect the interior.
FergusonAlign/balance -12,000 miles / 12 months.
Wipers/filters cabin and air
Ac refresh- 20,000/24mos
Brake fluid service (change and bleed) -30,000/36 mos
Fuel system clean- 30,000/36 mos
Check sway links/tie rods/
W/s transmission flush/
Coolant at 100,000/10 years
120,000 for plugs
Check oil pan gasket too
12v battery, key fob battery, tiresJohnChange the oil. Change the filters, New wiper blades, air in tires. Good to go.
AndreEngine maintenance light is for a failed coolant bypass valve, which is covered under a Warranty Extension.
RichardLook at your owner’s manual and see what maintenance you’ve missed, if any, and get it up to date.
Secondly, investigate what the maintenance message needs done and do that as well.
LibertyMaintenance message is most likely just for an oil change.
