Hello. I have a 2016 Kia Optima. My brakes squeal soo loud. No matter what brand brakes I get. I got my car 2 years ago & been squealing everyday since the day I got it. It’s so annoying, I can’t take it. Please help me, I’m losing my mind.
BrianHave you replaced the rotors and pads at the same time? Are you using OEM/dealer or high quality parts, or just different brands from the local big box parts store? Is everything properly lubricated, slides moving, hardware and shims properly installed?
RaymondThere’s something he’s not doing correctly, then.
JustinDry and rusted contact points make noise. Grind the rust and lube all contact points. Also, make sure 0% of caliper grease gets on the rotor or friction surface.
KenDo they squeel when first installed if not I’m thinking you are hard on brake getting them hot then driving thru water making the pads hard causing the squeal.
DonDid the rotors get replaced too and are you using ceramic or metallic pads. Another thing to check is if there are blue streaks in the rotors showing hard breaking.
