      2015 Chevy Equinox LTZ 2.4L,

Her exhaust rotted off, as did 02 sensors, she rotted at the manifold. She’s been this way for 7 months

NOW for the past 3 days, she stalls every time I press the gas pedal I can’t drive her at all, we cleared the codes, and she did okay the first time, we tried again, and she won’t go more than 20 feet without stalling…

Only codes she is giving me is O2 codes, heated o2 circuit codes and fuel to lean.

Help, because I’m getting ready to drive her into my father’s pond and 💥 her…

In the past 2 years we’ve had engine rebuilt, trans rebuild, and the entire suspension drive train everything. I’m over her…

Fix exaust. O2 numbers are important for fuel injection and It’s why you’re running lean.

Sounds like it’s time to put her out to pasture.

The guys that are saying O2 are wrong. O2 sensors have zero effect on how an engine runs until it is in CLOSED loop.

If this car is stalling almost immediately, it is not going to be an O2 or exhaust leak related issue.

The lean codes are pointing you in the right direction.

Verify that your valve cover is not pulling a hard vacuum into the crankcase as these engines have big issues with the intakes and the PCV valves built into the valve cover failing, causing a massive internal vacuum leak which can cause loss of power and/or stall the car.

Also, the duct work from the breather box to the throttle body, if it is cracked or clamps are loose it will affect the MAF readings and can stall the car.

Sounds like maybe the cats are melted or disintegrated and exhaust is plugging up and stalling it out. Pull upstream o2 sensors out and see if it runs longer. Can also hit o. Exhaust and see if it rattles like stuff is loose inside the pipe. Try at cats then back around mufflers. If cats material is loose in the shell or chunks are back by muffler or resonator. May need to disassemble and clean out the plug-ups.
