My 2014 Ford F-150 XL 2WD, equipped with a 5.0L engine, is experiencing a single-wheel overheating issue. Despite replacing the brake pads, caliper, rotor, brake hose, and hub assembly, and performing a complete brake fluid flush and refill with the correct fluid, the problem persists. What potential causes should I investigate, or what troubleshooting steps can I take before seeking professional assistance?

Did you make sure that the guide pins where caliper bolts go in sometimes there’s like a alignment washer type looking part that part of the guide pins and if there not sitting exactly were there suppose to be they will bind causing part of the pad to not release from the rotor.

My guess would be brake pads. There’s an inside and outside pad on these. The inside pads have 2 humps. I’ve replaced a ton of these because people DIY it and mess this up.

Front or rear, in the front the brake lines start to pinch at the line brackets. Make sure hoses aren’t twisted. Rear could be parking brake actuators.

Chris Moreno If the pads are in correctly, get it hot, jack it up and see if it’s dragging, have someone work the brake to see if it’s releasing quickly, if not, open the bleeder, if it releases, repeat all the way to master cyl, find the spot it doesn’t (possibly the abs).

Wheel hub would be My guess. Or wheel bearing if it’s equipped with bearings instead of a wheel hub.
