Hi everyone, could use a little advice. I have a 2007 Honda Accord with a 3.0 v6. I replaced the timing belt. The car won’t start, and now I get a camshaft position sensor code. The engine is a non-interference engine. Can’t figure this out. Thanks for the help.
BenI just did one not long ago. Line up the timing marks and crank the motor by hand a few revolutions to see if they still line up after to see if the belt is on properly.
EddieDid you replace the time belt before the old one broke? Or after?
What have you done to figure this out?
Did you set timing as needed?
Did you hook back up the cam position sensor?
What is the exact code? There’s not a lot of info in this post, nor is anyone going to be familiar with your skill levels.
BrianThis is definitely 100% an interference engine. If the timing belt came off while the engine was running, you need to pull the heads and replace the valves at minimum.
SteveBent valves. Are you 100% sure the timing marks were aligned when you installed the new belt? Post the actual fault code. Check compressions.
