I have a 2012 Nissan Murano SL. When I drive it, it doesn’t accelerate. If I press on the gas lightly it will gradually go and then pick up to normal speed, but if I hit the gas full force it won’t go and does a jerking forward motion then gradually takes off. It drives fine until I come to a stop, and then I deal with this. I replaced the MAF sensor because the code it gave me suggested this might be the problem, but my car has not been any better and some advice would be appreciated.
AngelYour Murano has a CVT transmisión! A very bad choice. All Nissan front drive cars, SUV, have the terrible CVT. Be prepared, there is no real repair for them. Nissan will offer a new one for maybe the cost of your car have or higher, and it is another CVT.
A new one is out of the question if your problem is the CVT.
Does it have the check engine on? Did you replace the Trans oil and filter every 30 thousand miles as required, even doing that at less millage will do nothing with the outcome when they fail, and it’s going to fail?
Good luck.
EricMany Nissans have transmission recalls, call a Nissan dealer with your VIN number, maybe it’s covered.
DavidCatalytic converts and o2 sensors.
GordonI think it needs a catalytic converter.
ArnarDid you use a OEM MAF sensor? Fought with mine till I replaced it with OEM.
El BrujoNeeds a trans. A very well-known issue.
