I ran into that a few months ago, Russian guy. The car was incredibly immaculate, I was looking for a car for my college aged son. Tons of maintenance advertised to have been done. I had brought what I was willing to pay, and we went around and around I he beat me up to a couple hundred bucks more than I wanted to pay, but I figured I’d pay it. He drove me in the car to an ATM. On the way there I looked at the extensive stack of receipts in the glovebox. One receipt was 100k miles more than advertised on the odometer, and the receipt was a year and a half old.

I hadn’t originally run the Carfax like an idiot, the detail job was incredible. I’ve been detailing for 45 years, and it was as clean as if I took a good 3 days doing a show car. Carfax confirmed the mileage I thought it was. I confronted the dude about it, he had several stories. Ridiculous.
