Do I need a license to offer financing via DealerTrack?

Do I need a finance license in order to offer financing options through DealerTrack or RouteOne? I’m strictly a retail lot, focusing on vehicles 20k and under. Not interested in house financing at the moment.

Different state different laws, but financing thru third party lenders is not your lot financing, if you do in-house financing known as buy here pay here and charge interest then maybe you will need one, depending on state.

Yes, if are in the State of Texas, you will need finance license in order to do in-house finance or bank’s finance.

Depends on the laws in your state but most likely yes.

In Florida, you need a Retail Installment sellers license.
