I bought this 2010 Fusion earlier this year, I didn’t particularly pay attention to the lug nuts. I did go and get new tires put on it the very next week and no one mentioned anything about them, but they just don’t look right.
I fell sill asking, but is this normal? I didn’t want to risk getting stranded with a flat tire and unable to remove it.
Any help is appreciated!
KatieI’ve had a few Fords that they said to replace the lug nuts everytime I got tires. A new set it about $30 on Amazon.
Coleif a 3/4 socket fits on them then they’re good to go.
KurtThose lug nuts suck you might need to get a I think it’s a special socket they came with just for the ford ones and it’s actually I believe a 19.5 mm gotta have it because those dang things swell up and can’t get a socket ro fit.
EricGo to napa and get 20 new solid 1 piece lug nuts.
MelanieThose might be aftermarket lug nuts. (Factory lug nuts swell and the aftermarket replacements like to corrode). If a socket fits on it properly, then don’t worry about it.
