Who can recommend me a good insurance company that actually pays when you have a claim, or when you have aftermarket parts?

I’m dropping GEICO today, terrible company, they just absolutely screwed me, they won’t even pay for OEM parts they will pay for “OEM equivalent” Chinese parts, pretty un acceptable on a $100,000 vehicle.

Aftermarket or like kind and quality parts are on most if not all policies, it’s stated on your policy which most people never read. Car value is irrelevant if used or aftermarket parts are available they’ll be added to the estimate

Insurance companies don’t owe you new OEM parts on a 100k mile vehicle. Every if not all insurance companies pay for new OEM parts on same year vehicle or maybe under 20k mikes or so. Some insurance companies like Nationwide offer an OEM endorsement you can pay for. It doesn’t matter if you go to Geico, Allstate, Progressive, State Farm, etc. If you have a higher end vehicle, I recommend Chubb or Pure. Other than that, it’s all the same regarding parts (of course following state’s guidelines first.)

Connect has been good to me, but expensive. Payed me 6k for an Acura I payed 2k for, and I got to keep the car

You have to add those coverages or select a company with an agreed value policy

USAA. Had Allstate for 35 years. They always paid and were very easy to deal with. The only reason I left was due to a huge price increase.

You gotta step into any claim with boxing gloves on. And know all your possiblities.
It’s now the nature of the beast.

State Farm is a step above most. I had to fight progressive on a total loss on a. Lifted/wheels/ winch and jacked Jeep wrangler by hiring an independent appraisal ($700 for appraisal and discussion with other co).. And then progressive had to hire one also. The difference of 14k or 20,200. Was a Rebuilt title.
