Hi guys, my car is 2011 Porsche Cayenne 3.6 v6, I just have a question about changing the transmission fluid. It has the Aisin 8 speed auto trans, service guide or online tutorial all shows that I have to drop the trans oil pan replace filter then put new fluid in, I am wondering if I can just do a drain and fill without removing the oil pan and replacing the filter?
Car has 96k miles, is it time to change it?

Thanks
IsmailYes, but you should drop the pan because you will only drain about 2–3 liters. When you remove the pan. You will drain about another 1-1.5 liters.
InfinitiDrain and fill, then do it again 2xmore after driving, clean fluid is more important than a new filter.
RichardNor sure about the P-car, but you may be able to get a pan with a drain bolt. Of course the first one you’ll have remove, but the next you’ll have a drain bolt. There are some methods using trans coolant lines to drain/fill, not sure I’d risk running it dry.
RickityDon’t get me wrong, though, still a great car!
JohnFilters are rarely changed anymore. The fluid exchange should be good enough.
