How to disable airbag light for salvage VIN inspection?

So I bought a salvage vehicle. Got the smog done and vehicle inspection. Now just need DMV VIN verification, they just failed me due to airbag light on and refereed me to CHP. Any recommendations to permanently turn it off just for the inspection not sure why they would check it, I thought it was only VIN.

Better fix it. Scan an determine the issue. Replace all what it needs. Manipulate light get it banned.

They have been checking that for years in California they turn key on check miles n check to make sure lite goes off with the key on.
Now u should be worried about providing all reciepts for parts used with the VIN on them. People advertise on marketplace n offer up to do the airbag stuff n u probably have seat belts frozen.

For future reference if it’s the CHP run away if it’s just a regular worker you’ll be fine.
