Joey
Had something strange to happen to me today.
Was selling a truck for $3500 and buyer hands me a wad of 100s cash & says it’s all there when he handed me the Money I thought it looked to be way more, but I just stuck it in my pocket. So while they we loading up the truck I counted it and there was $3300 too much! I then waited till they were ready to leave & said you need to recount this money.
He said, did I under pay you? LOL I said just count it again!
AldenI had a guy hand me the correct amount of money, but when I counted it, two of the hundreds stuck together, so I thought he was a hundred short. He watched me count it, so he also thought he was a hundred short.
He dug in his pack and gave me another hundred, and we parted ways. Later we counted the money again and found we had too much. He had driven from out of town.
I called his cell phone and met him halfway back from where he was, gave him the hundred plus 10 bucks for his messing around to correct my mistake.
I don’t care about karma. You are either real or you’re not.
You’re either going to gloat that you screwed someone over, or you’re going to do the right thing.
It’s not about what comes back to you. It’s only about who you choose to be.
JoenusJoey you might wanna check that money lol
JesusCheck the money common prop money scam.
AdamMy dad used to tell a story were a bank teller gave him too much so he told her I think you made a mistake. She gave him a dirty look and said we don’t make mistakes. So, he said well thank you and walked out.
JackI sold a car that the guy just robbed a bank and handed me stolen money.
AlanWhen I lived in Germany before cell phones, I sold a ’67 Mustang to a guy. He treated it as a drug deal to avoid paying taxes.
He came to get the car and immediately after that he was leaving to go to Disney World.
He left his vacation money in my car, where we counted the money.
I got home 5 minutes away and found his money pouch.
Chased him on the autobahn and finally caught him 100 kilometers down the road (60 miles).
Your guy just printed too much earlier.
MichaelCount the cash before you hand it and have them recount it. And vice versa always.
JimmyHappened to me one time. Not nearly as much extra but still extra. Karma comes around, so I gave it back to him.
AldenI’m really impressed with all these comments in favor of making that right. I actually think car flippers are some of the best people. Used car salesmen seem to have a bad rep, maybe those kinds of car salesmen have gone out of style now.
DavidGood job honest money bro — I would’ve done the same thing, you don’t do people that way. That’s why the world is how it is now. Sadly lots of people wouldn’t done anything but say yep that’s 3500 good day
MitchIt’s fake money, he gave you extra so you would look at it closer and think you came up. New scam.
VioletWow, that’s quite a story! It’s awesome that you were honest and gave the extra money back. It’s easy to see how someone could make a mistake like that, especially when dealing with a large amount of cash. It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders.
