Hi all, just recently replaced rear caliper (not OEM). I properly bleed and flushed system, no air in system as well no leaking fluid. But brakes doesn’t feel right. When engine run, I can floor brake pedal with effort (it’s braking good). When car not running, brake pedal is solid. 2007 Toyota Tundra. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
KeithIs bleeder at top of caliper? Also, may need to purge air from abs module. GMs need a scan tool to do an automated bleed of abs pump to bleed brakes when components are replaced. Maybe that!
MenashehBrake booster, or vacuum pump.
HarveyNormal with engine off, no vacuum assist
Did you replace more than one
How much fluid did you lose.
Guessing has ABS, need to bleed module
May need a scan tool to do properlyBesticanaffordSounds like you may have the interior lining of one of your brake hoses in a kerfuffle.
SteveGet in some gravel and do some ABS stops.
GabrielIf you used vice grips, could have damaged the internal of the brake like, especially if you’re in a rusty area.
JeanApply parking brake while bleeding brakes. Then bleed calipers normally.
