Good buy? 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class GL 450 4MATIC Sport Utility 4D – Runs well and has no mechanical issues at 150k miles. Planning to offer $3,8k
GreenFor 5k and under I wouldn’t look at a Mercedes, most of em anyway there are some older ones I like, but that would be a hobby car. Main brand but not luxury. If you’re looking for a SUV you could get a 6.0ls Denali with a 4l80. Basic Tahoe, CTV, fourrunner, ect just off the top of my head.
Green5k for an old Mercedes is always a steal (NOT).
BraydenThat new of one for that price it already has lots of issues, might be hidden or bandaid fixed long enough to sell it, but definitely has hidden issues at 5k.
ChristianOh it’ll have mechanical issues soon enough don’t you worry.
LouisTiming chain issues. Beware. But If the issues were already repaired with proof, I would buy it. I don’t mind the gamble, and it isn’t making noise or throwing the codes, $3500 is a good deal. Just be cautious and make sure you have no timing codes or chain control/guide noise.
InfinitiYuri De Lima You’re going to spend another 5000 or more on it in the next couple of years, buy something from an Asian country perhaps Japan, not as fancy, but won’t cost you much after purchase. European cars age like milk.
NateGet error codes, check tire wear, check for panel gap evenness, check for water leaks, frame rust, any water damage, take on the highway for 20 minutes etc
JaimeHope you got the wallet for it. May be cheap now, but those ownership costs get up there.
WymanA merc with 150k, always has mechanical issues. I like them, actually. But can’t afford to keep one running.
El BrujoNothing cost more money than a cheap euro car. Find a Toyota.
KyleI don’t know a lot about cars. But as somebody that has only owned used Mercedes cars until 2018, I can promise you that buying a used Mercedes is a bad idea no matter what.
JasonIt’s got issues and if you can afford to fix it then just buy one new with a warranty.
WilliamNo, if he sells it for 3800 year getting a car that he knows that there’s a lot of repairs coming soon and when people go out there’s a 200,000 K maintenance. There’s a lot of things that are supposed to be replaced even when they before they go wrong follow the instruction manual you’ll find that 100,000 they want you to replace the timing belts on almost every car. Do people replace them at 100,000 no they do not because it’s not a cheap repair we got replaced to make go out.
DerekToo good to be true.
I can’t imagine anyone selling in a 13 Benz with only 150k for five grand.
CharlieThis car can be maintained with parts that aren’t Mercedes parts rather cheaply. With that being said. It’s not worth 5k in its current condition. It will need a 200k mile service. So. If you can get it for 3k or less and have a mechanic that can order parts off parts geek you’d have a pretty nice car. It’s going to cost about 13-1500 in parts.
