I’m looking to get a new car come December/January time and am having a little trouble deciding between which one to go for.
Our plan for now is to get a small SUV and/or sedan and drive that while saving up to get my SO a family sized car.
I want both our cars to be the same make, AMD have narrowed it down to Honda or Toyota.
Should I choose the Honda HR-V EX-L. Or the Toyota Corolla cross XLE. I will be getting AWD in whichever one I choose. And they are within 1k or eachother in my area.
I need something reliable as I plan to drive it a lot.
JoeDo extensive research. Don’t listen to anyone’s opinion on here. Some people on this page have good advice on where to start diagnosing a problem, but a lot of people here just have opinions with nothing to base them off of. Look at consumer reports and common problems for any specific make, model, year, engine that you’re going to look at.
RussToyota and Honda are equal in my professional opinion. Reliable, maintenance and repair cost are about even. If you go with whichever one is more comfortable to you.
Also, the one with less add-ons (lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, heated and cooled seats) will also be cheaper to maintain and still feel like you’re getting the most bang for your buck.
KateI’ve had a HRV as a rental before and I loved that car!
TobinIf you like old stale boring and ugly, get the Toyota.
GaryIf you haven’t yet, check out Mazda…
