2006 Ford Taurus 3.0 stalls at idle. Have replaced the idle air control valve and did the idle relearn. New plugs wires air filter oil filter. I’m pulling my hair out with this thing. Any help please?
JoshuaSeafoam.
OrionClean throttle body like Michael mentioned, if that doesn’t fix it, Possible vacuum leak. Intake gaskets, broken vacuum line.
NealPurge valve could be going out, was like that on a customers car. Checked everything normal first. Changed purge valve ran perfect.
El BrujoPCV elbow. For testing, unplug the MAF sensor and see if it idles/runs better.
PacificCould be dirty EGR valve. Could be cam phaser. Could be VCT/VVT solenoid. Those would be the top 3 guesses for me. I’m familiar with many ford truck engines, and those are usually the culprits. Run a scanner to check for codes, even if engine light is not on.
KirkOkay now that people have told you to use miracle in a can how about you report the codes that you have and the fuel trim so that we can actually diagnose the problem.
MichaelVacuum line under throttle body to EGR.
