Do you have a leak, is there a whining from the pump?

Well, it sounds like you should check your power steering system.

Start by scanning it and see what codes are’s being thrown.

I work at Honda, the most common reason why that is light comes is because your EPS (Electronic Power System) unit is getting wet. The unit is located on the passer side floorboard it’s behind the kick panel where your right foot would be.

Either a sunroof drain is full of debris allowing water to enter the vehicle or windshield weather strip is dry rotted letting water drip all the way down the module.

Looks like it raining when you took the photo too.

Not sure what advice you’re asking for, but checking your power steering system is a good place to start.

I don’t know, my 15 years experience says maybe you should check out the power steering system.

I had that same thing and I also had a low brake fluid one come on I just added brake fluid and both went away.

Probably pressure power steering line may be cracked or something. Check how much power steering fluid you have and if it will hold the fluid while going for a 5-10 min drive.

Mechanic of 62 years here, my first step would be to check the power steering system. Hope this helps.

Do what it says we can’t magically tell you the problem from a pic of the inside of your car, it could be one of a few things.

Happened to me the other day. I had to replace the switch and connector because that’s where the leak was coming from and it worked.

Electric power steering pump probably lost power or ground, check the harness or pump motor for cracks or water damage.
